ABOUT BOOKS ON CD
The advantages:
On CD for travel tours, for example, or Mbote, Mondele that has hundreds of photos, you get a better look at scenic photos because the image is bigger, and of course, in color. The same is true for some young reader books. Better pictures and opportunity for additional simple animation. Books with an abundance of photos sometimes require a 2- or 3-part download because of the size of the files. Just make sure you get all the "parts" before leaving the screen.
For instructional material, like learning to read, the CD affords clearly defined interaction from the learner. The mini-movie is good for the eager learner, but on the CD nothing advances until the learner takes action.
And of course CDs need only a regular computer, are easy to carry about to a computer at work, along with your laptop, etc.
