ITINERARY FOR TOUR C-2: CANADA, TURKEY, VENEZUELA
 ALBERTA,CANADA
1) Horse Sense Arrival in the town of Banff, then a 2-day guided horseback ride into deer, elk and bear country, staying overnight at a mountain lodge, with fresh-caught trout cooked over a campfiree for dinner.
2) Ripples and Rapids Boating and fishing on Lake Minnewanka,
traveling on to the lodge on Lake Morain, a Class II whitewater rafting day down the Bow River, and just relaxing.
3) Pinnacles and Prairies A rock climbing day, then down onto
the prairies to Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo-Jump, an evening of Indian tales around the
campfire, a night in a teepee, and on to Calgary
4) Stampede! A visit to Calgary's outstanding zoo, then time
for the Stampede with ten days of rodeo events, chuckwagon races, Indian dances, carnival rides, bands from around the world, and the famous pancake breakfast.
TURKEY
1) Happenings and Heroes Arrival in Istanbul, a day cruise
on the Bosphorus, visits to the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, once the largest
church in Christendom, the Koç Museum of historical machines, seeing The Royal Mehter Band march, an excursion to Edirne to watch the Turkish sport of oil wrestling, then back
to Istanbul for a day of palaces before starting off to Galipoli and ancient Troy.
2) Mevlana and Moonscapes To Konya to see the whirling
dervishes, the countryside and the art of weaving rugs, the ruins Çatalhöyük, perhaps
the world's oldest city, the sport of jereed, then a flight to the "fairy chimneys" of
Cappadocia and the ancient cave churches.
3) Black Sea, White Snow To Ankara, its memorial to Ataturk and
its Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, then on to spend a night in a konak in the small
town of Safranbolu, a drive along the Black Sea, then back to Ankara and a flight to
Erzurum and Mount Palandok, a favorite among international skiers.
4) Blue Voyage, Turquoise Coast To Kemer on the Mediterranean
coast, the ancient Hittite city of Perge, the still usable Roman theater of Aspendos, then
embarking on a Blue Voyage, stopping to see a few ancient Lycian ruins en route to
Bodrum, an excursion to the hot springs of Pamukkale, "the Cotton Castle," to camel
wrestling in Mugla, and the beautiful beaches of the Aegean.
VENEZUELA
1)Winging over Waterfalls Arrival at Canaima flying past
Angel Falls, an excursion flight over the tepuis and waterfalls, and canoe ride to
a waterfall to swim.
2) The Orchid Adventure A guided hike into Canaima National Park where 500 varieties of orchids grow, as well as a variety of wildlife, and another
swim in another waterfall.
3) Caracas, A Modern El Dorado Arriving in Caracas by
air for a stay in the elegant Tamanaco Inter-Continental Caracas while sight-seeing and shopping in this very modern city.
4) Myrna's Kind of Island Over to Margarita Island, with
hotels, history, beaches, nightclubs, international boutique shopping, and a renowned
butterfly collector.
