ITINERARY FOR TOUR A-1: HOLLAND, GHANA, AUSTRALIA

GHANA

1) Leopards Great and Small

Arrival at the Golden Tulip in Accra, sight-seeing and shopping for Ashanti goldwork, Fanti asafo flags while sipping asenkee and enjoying Omanhene chocolate

2) Along Lake Volta

Driving northeast past cacao trees to the largest man-made lake in the world and an afternoon of cruising on the Dodi Princess, then flying north to see Mole National Park, a wildlife preserve of 500 square miles.

3) Many Forms of Royalty

Taking the canopy walk above the trees in Kakum, then on to Lake Bosomtwe for the night, then on to the Ashanti capital of Kumasi, sight-seeing and buying authentic kente cloth.

4) Surfside at Biriwa

At the Biriwa Beach Hotel, enjoying the beach, touring the Cape Coast "Castle" where captives were brought to be sold as slaves, and reggae music at twilight.

HOLLAND

1) Falcons and Farmers

Arrival in Amsterdam, taking the bus out to Muiderslot castle, watching the falconry show, going on to Jacob's Hoeve, the main farm for Henri Willig's famous cheese production, the tour and of course sampling.

2) How Many Museums?!

Amsterdam has 62 museums, so there is something for everyone from art to the art of tatoos, as well as shopping for wooden shoes and enjoying more of the great Dutch cuisine.

3) Bicycling in Tulipland

Taking the train over to Lisse, heart of the flower industry, bicycling past the tulip fields, visiting the 60-acre Keukenhof Gardens, and back to Amsterdam for dinner at a Dutch steak house.

4) The Value of "Small"

Some sight-seeing in Amsterdam including the tour of the Gassen (Diamond) House, then an excursion to Madurodam, the built-to-scale miniature city with replicas of famous Amsterdam buildings as well as a miniature railroad and water locks, then back to Amsterdam for another gourmet dinner.

AUSTRALIA

1) Modern Melli

Arrival in Melbourne, a drive along the Great Ocean Boulevard, a little sight-seeing, a visit to the 23 million dollar aquarium, dinner at the famous Raffles.

2) The Terrible Tasmanian

Flight to Hobart to see Tasmania, tour of the former convict prison, Port Arthur, visit to Talune Wildlife Park, including the pet Tasmanian Devils, over to Strahan to for inland and marine excursions.

3) Caves and Kangaroos

Arrival and sight-seeing in Adelaide, the Barossa Valley, a shark cage, Kangaroo Island, the Naracoorte Caves and the fossil center, Coober Pedy, underground city and opal center of the world, an excursion into the desert outback.

4) Didgeridoo and Diving, too

From Cairns, excursions north to Cooktown and a crocodile tannery, south to the beaches of Magnetic Island, west to Kuranda for the Art Trek and the Didj Shop, on to the rainforest and back to Cairns to go diving on the Great Barrier Reef
